For the Love of Tea Tree
I have always been a big fan of tea tree products. An essential oil with potent strength, little vials of the wonder elixir have graced my medicine cabinet and makeup drawer for years. I use it in very small amounts to help clear up minor skin irritations or infections including acne outbreaks and I add a few drops in a steamy bath when I have a cold or headache. It truly is one of nature’s miracle cures. Imagine my delight when I was sent a shampoo and conditioner duo from Bioken called Enfanti Tea Tree. A quick turn of the bottle to the label on the back, and I noticed that the first thing listed is Tea Tree oil, so I knew this was the real deal. Also in the list: green tea, ginseng, nettle, chamomile, calendula, and even bee propolis -All botanical ingredients with a host of healthy and soothing benefits.
Based on what I know about some of these ingredients, this line would be perfect for anyone with scalp issues such as dandruff or psoriasis or to help balance an oily scalp or soothe a dry one. My scalp is in good condition and my hair on the dry side, but I do love the scent and other benefits of tea tree, so I gave it a shot.
The shampoo lathered well and tingled as it sat on my scalp, washing away easily while leaving a clean slate. The conditioner was soothing with a cool sensation while it set. I kept it on for a couple of minutes while I showered and then rinsed. It left behind a very distinctive tea tree scent and crispness with a thoroughly clean feeling to my hair and scalp. The best way I can describe it is invigorating. Although it didn’t take much of the product to work its wonders, at 8 oz, I just wish the bottles were a bit bigger.
Bioken is also offering one lucky US-based winner their own Enfanti Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner. Enter below for your chance to win!
